All projects developed by the GlyphStudy Open Source Projects Group are the results of hundreds of man-hours of volunteer work. Since all of the developers are working towards open source projects they are not being rewarded financially. Instead, they have committed to improving the computer aided Egyptology community. We wish to take the opportunity to thank them for their hard work.
Ted Young (aka Will Meriic): Conceived of and developed the dictionary generation software. Set up the GOSP project website and Sourceforge account and continues to serve as director, and project manager for the Egyptian Dictionary and Dictionary Generator Projects.
Mark Vygus: Digitally transcribed over 12,000 dictionary entries into a database and made it freely public. He continues to maintain this treasured resource.
Luca Brigatti: Developed and maintains the HieroWord program, among many other useful tools. Mark compiled and continues to maintain his dictionary using HieroWord.
Karen: Has managed to GlyphStudy Yahoo group for many years. Her group was our temporary home until we managed to get the project site set up.
Paul Dickson: Whose initial dictionary based on Mark Vygus's wordlist and the JSesh library was inspiration for our dictionary, our dictionary generation software, all the projects that have spun off, and for the group itself.
And of course we wish to thank all of the people who have contributed in various fashions, whose names we have yet to get on this list. If you know of someone whose name should be here please let us know immediately.
